Aeria Games to publish Bless in EU&NA

Get a room you two lol..

Im pvp'er but pve is also really important for me. Pve server for people who really only want to play this game for pve is fine. As long as it doesnt change the game just to please the pve server too much. Currently there is more pve than pvp in the game. They try to please both sides which is only good for the mmo.
I just honestly dont understand ur hate for the pve lol.

Nevi and Bryan in a box = solution to the power crisis/alternative source of energy.

Coming from my personal view - I'd love to stick around with the current setting.

PvE is an important part of the game as well as the PvP.

Putting in PvE servers would ruin their income (Peace Declarations and the other item) so I doubt it will come to reality. And even if - I don't really care much about PvE servers.

No, you don't understand me at all. I don't hate the PvE... in fact, PvE is an important step in every game that lead the players to the true world that is the PvP war. BUT, said that, its usefull is pretty limited to that part.

If you want to play forever PvE, with all flowers and butterfly, well, that is not anymore a game, but an horrible nightmare...

I'm not against the PvE, i'm against the community that live for IT only, trying to poison and murder any good game like Bless...

Me personally.... I just love getting hard core PvPers like Bryan all hot and bothered. Plus, if anyone was going to ask it, it should be someone who understands where PvPers like Bryan is coming from. That way when he yells at me I don't take offense like some posters might.

Juuuuuuuuuuuust as long as it doesn't turn into the PvE afk leveling mess that BDO has turned into. My loathing for that game grows every day......

Me and Bryan in a box makes me think of Wiley Coyote and the Road Runner. Don't know why....

I actually see your point there. This statement from a business standpoint makes me think that PvE servers won't be instituted.

I think the take away from this conversation can be..... Nevi loves trolling Bryan with full knowledge his guild will be Heiron and one day they can conqueror the Bless World together and smack some Union butt!

      P.S.

Imma carebear. I only play MMORPG's for PvE and despise PvP completely, avoiding it at all costs if possible. In games with forced Open PvP (like BLESS and AION), I just say "screw it" and let them pound me without fighting back. Typically after a few kills, they stop killing me because I'm no fun to kill. I even know of opposite faction guilds (in AION) say to not target me due to being a "loser who doesn't fight back", which is fine by me. Unless of course it's an MMO where they reward all cases of Open PvP, in which case they keep doing it.

Oh well, "Live and Let Die" (Beatles references, not Guns & Roses).

....Of course, when no one tries to attack me, it's the perfect time to attack them....

IF you would have played back the old days with DAOC, you would have been one of the "GreyProtected"...

Back there, there was a real big respect for players that wanted to play safe, even if DAOC is a full hardcore PvP game... and i was one of the harcore PvP players that was respecting those little PvE players...

But, it was a different kind of conception of the PvP and PvE gaming... speaking on the actually time, the PvE community is a poison for the mmorpg PvP games due to the fact that they want to change the game to a nonsense even if the game can't be changed.....

You know, most of the times i was wondering in Bless with my Wife, we wasn't even attacking the enemy realm, fact we know that there is a silent peace acceptance between real players... the only times we was doing a real War on the open fields was because there was idiots attacking randomly just to piss people off... and i, as an old royal player of DAOC, can't stand that offence...

That's a HUUUUGGGGEEEE generalization. Is it okay if I say that the entire PvP community is a poison for PvE focused games by demanding more PvP nonsense added to the game? It shouldn't be, which is why I don't say it.

I really am a major PvE player, and really do hate PvP, but I haven't ever demanded any change to any MMO I've ever played unless the majority of players also agreed (PvE AND PvP players). The only I can think of that I really got behind was adding Text Chat to the console versions of Elder Scrolls Online. Every single poll of the time around console launch indicated that 97-98% of the entire playerbase (PvE, PvP, all 3 factions, even PC players) thought that the consoles should have had it, since the PC already had it too.

My point is: Don't generalize so much. ||

You quoted the wrong part.. read it well.. you should have quoted this part, since you missed an important phrase...

No, I read that. I read it as you saying "But that was PvE and PvP back then. Speaking of the current time, the PvE community...."

After re-reading it since you pointed out I misunderstood you..... I still can't understand it. Can you fix the grammar please? As anyone on Blade and Soul Dojo can tell you, I've only been speaking English for about 8 years now, Finnish before. It makes understanding broken grammar very difficult. It's much easier for non native English speakers to understand "I know what you mean" rather than "i no wut u men".
What i mean is that on the old days, the PvE community was really different, and there was a mutual respect between PvP and PvE community (as i explained with the old days on DAOC, but i can add also Lineage 2 on the list)

If i have to speak about the "today" PvE community, they are a poison for the mmorpg games, expecially when they want to play PvP games and whine about change it with nonsense stuff...

So I didn't understand you correctly.... in that you are saying today's PvE community is a poison for ALL MMORPG's, not just PvP focused MMORPG's? I doubt I'm understanding you correctly still.....

Anyway, just know that despite I'm a PvE carebear, I understand BLESS is a very PvP focused game, and have zero intention on ruining (or even touching) the PvP mechanics. Maybe if we're on the same side on the NA/EU servers, I can pretend to be a stupid NPC that you need to Escort from one place to another (with rewards, as all escort missions offer). :D
Oh dear God, NO! I'm not saying that!

Someone please help me make him understand my point.... i don't know how to put it!!

Really don't worry about it, it's not a big deal. I know I'm not understanding it right and I have no resentment to you.
So about escorting me though? I'm sure I could use someone well versed in PvP to help me get to some areas.
I think I misunderstood Bryan initially as well. When he first said the PvE community is poison to the MMORPG I incorrectly assumed he meant the PvE community from the dawn of time. Now that I understand he means today's PvE community I agree with him.... to a point. I would not say that they are poison, but with the focus of the recent 'newer' gamers that have been drifting to MMORPGs the genre as a whole has taken a hit quality wise. World of Warcraft is a strong example. Over the past decade the game has shifted and changed to the wants/needs of the PvE audience and now the game is a shell of its former self. I believe it's this group of PvEers that always walk into games being release with PvP focused elements and demanding the developers change it to suit the game be tailored completely to their wants. To me, that destroys the focus of the game.

Now, does that mean the PvP community as a whole isn't partially to blame as well? I believe portions of that community can shoulder some of the blame for the current state of MMORPS. Before Bryan fries my tail again let me explain. There is a significant portion of the PvP community that will only engage in a 'fight' when the odds are outrageously in their favor. For example: three(3) max level characters teaming up to PK/camp a level 30 player who is alone and seemingly unable to defend themselves. These types of PvP players give PvP a bad name, I believe at the very least we can agree with that.

I was honestly going somewhere with this but in the course of making myself some food I forgot. So I'll wrap it up like this. Both the poisonous PvEers and PvPers fuel the opposite side causing us all to go into a deeper downward spiral.

      make sense?

      Neviana wrote:

      make sense?

Yes, and to expand on that beyond just PvE/PvP: Every type of MMO player (PvP, PvE, Alliance, Elyos, Mascu, Jin, Ratonga, Zumi, whatever) has a small but very loud "poison" percentage that makes the entire group look bad due to how demanding and loud they are on forums.

We're rather off topic from the original point of this thread. Admittedly now that the announcement is out, there isn't much else to say on that though. :/

These are called Griefer, not PvPer... they are a disgrace for the real PvP community...

Just like how some PvE players that demand changes that negatively impact PvP are griefers, and a disgrace to the real PvE community.
Just came here to share my opinion...

-Finally, Bless will come much sooner than predicted, Cudos for Aeria Games to have the BALLS to reach out for Bless even with their P2W games reputation. There are many publishers out there but none dared to actually try and do what AG did, we all know that AG isn't the best however we should be thankful that it's bringing Bless to EU/NA. I have played a few games from AG and i had a great time with them, i don't bitch too much about P2W because that shit is in every or almost every MMO out there. I am not approving of their method of dealing with cash shops and stuff like that i am simply giving AG the benefit of the doubt and trying to trust them to do a good job like they did with EOS.

Only thing that pisses me off is the fact they shutdown Dragon Knights Online, such an AMAZING game with Lots of potential...but anyway.

Another thing i'd like to say regarding the PVE and PVP matter that you guys are addressing to...

      - PVP and PVE are yin and yang one cannot live without another...I am a PVPer i enjoy to Duel and Challenge other players, to test my skills against them even tho i suck at it, but each time i win i feel some kind of achievement/accomplishment or triumph, for all the effort i spent into learning about the class, training and so on.
I don't hate PVE or discard it by all means, it's fun to fight other people but i also like the feeling of adventure that comes from PVE, specially to solo monsters that are more stronger that my character in-game, since it's a fantasy game i do embrace it and create my own little adventure/journey.
What i dislike is simply the fact of other players that just want PVE...well let me explain something to those types of players that intend to come to Bless...if you haven't tried Bless yet then don't even bother, do yourself a favor and go play something else. Otherwise you would simply cry all day and night "WHO KILLED ME?!! 3 VS 1 SO UNFAIR THEY ALWAYS GANK ON ME T_T¬!" i can already see it happening when this game reaches to EU/NA, because it already happened here on our forums while playing Bless-K.

I believe most of you who are going on about PVE/PVP already played Bless so you already know what it's like, Bless clearly embraces PVP in more ways than another but at the same time it also shows that it's has great PVE content that can take one hour just to complete one regular dungeon and you do require skill as a PVE player like you would in PVP...like i said YIN and YANG you bitches!
From my experience the game is balanced, and to put it simply if you don't like spicy food then just eat something bland with no taste. Basically just play Bless the way you want to if you really like the game and are not willing to give up your gamer beliefs (LOL), just PVP or just PVE.

Anyway just came to say hi after being absent for a while! Muahahah :D
