[Guide] FPS fix RU client

    • [Guide] FPS fix RU client

      This game is so unoptimized in embarrassing. When I started playing on RU OBT the fps was so bad it was almost unplayable with around 20-30 fps regular and at 10-15 in cities no matter what graphic setting.

      My specs:
      CPU - i7 3770K (Overclocked)
      GPU - SLI GTX 680 2GB (Overclocked)
      RAM - 16GB (Overclocked)

      The games does not use sli so I only get the use of 1 card, and from what I've noticed while playing bless my graphics card uses its base clock, but it's still a decent card.

      Now here is a guide on how I got my fps up to 55-65 regular and 25-35 cities at graphic setting 5.

      We will be using a russian bless modification program called Bless Glowing Mods, which will change the bless config and help optimize the game.

      Step 1.
      Download the program at mmorpg-bless.ru/soft/glowing-mods.html
      Step 2.
      Go to your Bless folder and right click on Engine folder, uncheck write protection.

      Step 3.
      Enter BLGame folder inside your Bless folder and right click Config folder, uncheck write protection.

      Step 4.
      Unzip the downloaded program and run Bless Glowing Mods.exe

      Step 5.
      Choose location for BLGame folder.

      Step 6.
      Enter FPS configurations.

      Step 7.
      Choose amount of MB on your graphics card.

      Step 8.
      Choose amount of cores on processor.

      Step 9.
      Click "Recommended".

      Step 10.
      Click "Apply".

      Step 11.
      Start game and enjoy!

      I hope this was helpful, because it took me some research and google translating to find this.
      It doesn't make the optimization perfect but it help and makes the game playable.

    • Thank you for taking your time in doing this. This is actually very helpful, it gave me some stability, and maybe about 10 more FPS?, the screen stuttering still there for me but a lot less. I think everyone should give this a try and see how it works on their computers
    • Here's some translation i'm willing to share just for making some personal preferences, just for the best enjoyment of the game.

      I translated it using a virtual keyboard by every character typing, a thanks is always welcome :)
      Have fun using it.

      Edit Notes:
      -Added a photo for more understanding and easy config.

      I have fresh install, it made ALL textures extremely low-res, unplayable.

      I tried with only changing the video memory (without clicking 'recommended') and same result.

      Thank you for the translation, I'm gonna try some different settings now :)
    • Ok, I solved the mystery behind Bless Glowing Mods, I wonder why that russian guy didn't release the source code and kept it secret instead of sharing it to the community, anyway here's what it has been edited..

      *** BLEngine.ini ***

      bStaticDecalsEnabled=False
      bDynamicDecalsEnabled=False
      bDisablePhysXHardwareSupport=False
      MaxSmoothedFrameRate=120
      bShouldLogStatsData=False <------------ add it on line 241

      [TextureStreaming]
      MinTextureResidentMipCount=7
      PoolSize= X ( X is based on your GPU Memory: 512, 1024,2048, 4096 etc)
      MemoryMargin=256

      ThreadedShaderCompileThreshold=4 (based on the number of your physical cores)
      MotionBlur = False

      *** BLSystemSettings.ini ***

      Note: when you see (multiple lines) it means that you can edit with Notepad++ using Ctrl+H and Replace All

      Short Tutorial for Notepad++:

      - Ctrl + H
      - Find what: Distortion=True
      - Replace with: Distortion=False
      - Click on Replace All

      Distortion = False (multiple lines)
      DynamicShadows=False (multiple lines)
      LightEnvironmentShadows=False (multiple lines)
      FogVolumes=False (multiple lines)
      StaticDecals=False (multiple lines)
      MotionBlur = False

      DynamicShadows=False

    • So for

      [TextureStreaming]
      MinTextureResidentMipCount=7
      PoolSize= X ( X is based on your GPU Memory: 512, 1024,2048, 4096 etc)
      MemoryMargin=256

      Should i replace X? based on my GPU Memory like to

      PoolSize= 4096 (as an example)

      and should i'm thinking about MemoryMargin wat is that about, is it the same about gpu memory?

    • Yeah its up to the user, sometimes it increase the FPS for some users and for some it decrease depending on their system and codification, also modifications.

      I actually verify everything in the settings, how its being developed or modified, its matter of tests to make a great results, cientific method no?.

      (I too make a backup of everything before the tests).
    • I'm using AMD APU A8-6600 with integrated Radeon HD8570 video and this works perfect for me!
      All details set of 5 (highest) and I got an increase of average 10 FPS!
      The game is so much detailed and running smoothly.

      Much appreciate it. THANK YOU and GREAT JOB! :)
