Opposing Faction Interactions

    • Opposing Faction Interactions

From what we know so far (if its there), is there any information on this. Say someone wants to be a part of Heiron, as a Sylvan elf. Another person wants to be part of the Union, as an Iblis. Will these two be able to play together, throughout PvE, PvP, RP, and whatever else (after leaving their respective starting areas). Or, will it be like World of Warcraft, where the only interaction Alliance and Horde have is killing each other?
    • creo that this would be like elder scrolls online that have 3 aliances and they dont interact in the whole game in pve, but they will compete in cyrodil.
i wanna say that the races have their own territorry and they cross the line between those two palces. they have their own history and diferent misions. but you will face them at pve.
    • I actually wanted to know for RP reasons. My girlfriend and I were looking forward to this game and wanted to play together, possibly opposite factions because of an RP idea we came up with exactly for that...bbbutttt if they can't interact, then theres no RP/PvE/PvP goin on there.
Good thing we decided to both go for Union anyways. Still, would just like to know this and I'm sure loads of others do too.

    • I'm not sure 100%, but as I can read, I assume that it couldn't be possible since the world is a massive PVP field. But this assumption could be easily invalidated if, to take part in World Wide PVP you had to do a Quest or something to join the faction of your race.

    • I would like it to be a massive pvp field i.e go into the other factions area and start fighting mixed with pvp arenas etc. I am playing Aion at the moment where you have to wait for portals to appear in order for you to go into the enemy zones which is annoying especially if you need to complete a quest that involves you going into the enemy zone.

    • From what I've seen so far, BLESS is currently looking like TERA and Aion had baby. A very beautiful, anaesthetically pleasing baby that took all the best genes from it's parents and learned from their mistakes (which included making an actual storyline for itself) with a whole load of extra sprinkles on top.

More to the point/what I mean to say is; I assume the opposing factions are going to work a lot like they did in Aion, meaning the only interaction will be PvP along a massive border between the two nations, like Aion had it's Abyss between the two worlds. ...But hopefully with some faction balance, because Aion didn't have that. I doubt there will be any PvE content the two could share or do together because that could complicate things.

THEN AGAIN, could be completely wrong! We won't know until anything is officially announced regarding this.

...Though I do feel you guys on the RP thing. My RP partner and I want to ship Pantera/Lupus sohard but they're looking to be enemies. We won't be able to play them together! Q Q

    • if bless has something similar to the Balaur race (i.e enemy of both factions), then i can see a possible alliance with the other faction to defeat the mutual enemy other than that playing together with the other faction doesn't make sense.

Maybe you can party up for world bosses?

I hope so. And to be honest, a game where is no PVE , for world bosses and stuff like that is a boring game.
I have so much fun doing both of those, PVE & PVP.
In Aion for example, there were bosses in the enemy territory that you and your race/guild/party could go to, if you knew the timer of the boss, and do it for the loot. Loot from a mob with a specific name has always more value than your average loot. Everyone knows that.
      *Bless will be aweesome!!*

    • it would be nice to be able to communicate with other factions!

Why is that? I'd rather see some hate between those two. Choosing a faction should be crucial gamechanging factor. Maybe some emotes to show that you are friendly/aggresive or whatever. If they could communicate, why choose faction then? That's a big guild, not faction.
    • To hopefully answer this dilemma, I copied a reply from a similar post.

In MMORPG.Com interview with Jacob Han. They briefly describe the Pvp setup. Considering the info Jacob Han has provided, it would seem Pvp is basically a result of a players actions to NPCs. "As you progress in the game, you will encounter characters, either playable or non-playable, of different races from the opposing realm. You will be interacting with NPCs that are inherently a part of BLESS’ world, not just systematic quest givers. You will build your relationship with these NPCs and gradually foster attachments to individuals from across the realm."
He also mentions players can be "Neutral" which I'm guessing that means there will be "Open World Pvp" because if players are allowed to be neutral, it doesn't make sense to be neutral in a PvP instance setting.

"You may become a valiant commander that rides at the forefront of a hundred-person army, or an assassin on a stealth mission targeting a high-class noble. If you would like to play a more neutral role, you may become a mercenary for hire, or you could choose to ignore the war entirely and become a pacifist. Overall, PvP will be closely tied to how players progress through the story and through the game."

    • Overall, PvP will be closely tied to how players progress through the story and through the game.

I can't understand how they will do it. It just doesn't make sense to me. I can't imagine anything, like you do specific quest and you unlock some battleground? Yeah I know that's stupid but I have no idea rly.
    • They're taking a "ESO" style approach to questing.

I really don't know how they're going to incorporate that into PvP. The only thing I would guess is that it's going to have to do something with PvP NPCs, which will more then likely be prevalent in "Siege Warfare" where players will have to capture barracks/forts and etc.

Example: There's a Mascu wandering down the road, you happen to be on the Union. That Mascu NPC has a quest, where you need to escort him back to Hieron Lines, here's your options.
      A. Rob the Mascu and interrogate him for information.
      B. Escort him back into the safety of Hieron, risking your neck and limb.
      C. Leave him there.

Lets say you choose answer A. WELL, what if during a PvP scenario, that Mascu you just robbed was a spy for the Union side, about to go undercover and do some Jame's Bond stuff.

Something along those lines would be my guess.

At ChangYou New Game Summit 2014, 17173 had an interview with Bless Online's producer Han Jaega. According to Han, PC requirements of Bless Online won't be higher than Blade & Soul. There are two factions in Bless Online totally which are Union and Hieron and ten races including Amistad, Aqua Elf, Iblis, Pantera, Siren, Fedayin, Habichts, Lupus, Mascu, and Sylvan Elf. The core feature of Bless Online is realm vs. realm combat. The strongholds in Bless Online world are interactive with players. When a player reached a certain level, he or she will affect the level and status of the stronghold and the rewards and buff he or she receives from the stronghold will change too.

Realm vs. realm system in Bless Online is a little different from that in Aion or World of Warcraft. In Bless Online, realm vs. realm combat also encourages players in the same realm to compete with each other to be the best one.

Bless Online provide many different systems to meet the demands of players at different times. At first, it may be killing mobs, and then farming solo dungeons or being a leader.
    • nah from what I saw on what a mod or admin said in the forums the races themselves wont be subject to just one faction....I think what was said is that they will all be selectable via more then just I think it was 3 factions, I cant be too positive, my English translations on terminology sucks really bad....
