    • Now that I'm 45, and have some gear under my belt. In PvP I find myself not using my blink for mana as I used to. I think I hav a higher pool of mana so the % return is greater than previous. I don't spam as much and have a specific point of attack now.

As for dungeons I haven't been to the 43 since the "dmg change" was reverted and haven't tried the 45 at all. So i dont know how our mana fairs in there yet.

I honestly don't feel its an issue later on. Keep at it guys!

        • I do written guides with video summeries and demos.... but im not ready to do any yet cause im still learning a lot

I can help here as much as i can in the mean time.

            • You recieve Fire, Air, and Ice element by casting thier respective skills. You can also use the non-stance skills to get more as well. This will be reflected in the 3 bars near your HP. When you are half way its 1000 and a full bar is 2000 of an element. Once you SWAP away from a stance it will consume 1000 element and give you an additional buff on top of the normal stance swap chain. Please read your stances under your skill tree to get a better idea.

An example: Build 1000 ice on mobs. Swap to Mixed tactic you will receive 20% increase base damage just for swapping. Since you now consumed 1000 ice as well, you now gain the additional buff of Freezing on the next ice skill used. So in mixed tactic and you use 2-2-2 the first ice skill will stun.

                • I don't have huge mana issues post 1.0.0.8. If you played 2 spam you had mana issues and you had to 1 spam. Now you can spike and have a combo and not be reduced to 22222222222222222222222222222. There are ways to help mana in pve with mixed stance, its not great but its there.

If our class could free spam it would be broken. Learn to consolidate your damage and not over exert your resources. Its a smarter not harder kinda playstyle.

                    • Read your stances, they will say 'Conversion Effect'. This is the buff you will get when you swap AWAY or OFF of that stance. (seems backwards unknown if broken). That means when you swap from Fire, your other stance will recieve a crit buff for 8 seconds. When you leave mixed stance you get Mana back for consuming 1000 essence.

                        • 37 blue gear will be about the same/maybe better at +5. If you get your 45 wep (auction house or farm) to +5 and some gear (green 45 or blue 37+) you will have enough gear to get into dungeons and stuff pretty easy I think.

Runes are random so you gotta run a lot or get lucky. I suggest AP or AP+Hit. There will be pvp tanks getting dodge and stuff that you might want to hit.

I assume the progression is 37blue/45green. 45 wep from elites +10. farm random pieces to get runes and pvp to buy them. anyone have a better idea?

                            • So the patch notes a few days mentioned a 7 chain combo not working correctly. I finally found out how to get one on mage. Its in the 4th stance (air) and its the Y or 3rd line:

I then swapped to mixed stance and use the 2yy to get to lightning AoE:

I then tested the dmg without the 7 chain combo and it was about 50% less. So its possible that 7 chain might be worth it for certain spike situations. So the damage I tested was about ~800 and with the 7th cast was ~1200.

                                • Well it's hard to say because I am also still learning. Right now with the damage adjustments they did its all about mana control. I think the fire burst is fine but it might be slower than the Biting Cold spam. It is 3rd stance 2nd skill (ice). Until we see new changes it is pretty busted. It seems that you pick 1 element and use the mixed element for most "builds". I think there will be more popping up soon as we all learn. I've done well with the 3rd stance spam and AoE from mixed. It shouldn't really matter what is optimal until you get to end game. If you can live with you speed of progress, it doesn't matter your skill rotation.
