    • Salutations,

As of late I've come across two extremely helpful resources from other friends and communities that has drastically improved my experience in game. I searched a little on the forum and have not seen anything here yet so here goes.

      Bless Graphics INI Tweak Guide

      https://www.reddit.com/r/Bless…graphics_ini_tweak_guide/

      • BaseEngine.ini (highly recommended)
        • Remove FPS framecap
        • Fix FOV and Ultrawide (further zooming out)
        • General FPS improvements
      • BaseSystemSettings.ini (optional, not that big a deal)
      • BaseInput.ini (subjective to individual preference)
        • Mouse smoothing and vertical/horizontal movement

FPS Boost - .ini Tweak to enable OpenGL for Bless - Actually make use of your Graphics Card!

      https://www.reddit.com/r/Bless…_enable_opengl_for_bless/

      • OpenGL is disabled by default for some reason
      • Enable in config and turn on in your NVIDIA/AMD software

      Cheers and happy camping!

      Love,
      Kuz

        • I only came here because of the title of this thread. What a click bait. Damn.

From a personal standpoint I don't mind if it is or isn't in. I rather enjoyed it during my WoW days. The possible threat, the surprise gank attempts, stalemating/escaping, or somehow victorious. It was really enjoyable to embrace the dangers that inhabit the environment and added another kind of enjoyment in the game.

However, I certainly understand that that is not something people may enjoy and I do advocate being able to have options and allow individuals to do what they want (to a certain degree) or in some cases the usage of this particular item prevents other individuals from doing what they want. It's like a mechanism to address the potential 'abuse' or excursiveness of something like open world griefing. It's not going to be easy to come to a conclusion since it has a further reaching implication.

            • I'm kinda shocked at this. First, because they are addressing these questions and so quickly right after the press event. Second, like holly smokes they lowered the collector's price, wow man.

I was kind of expecting something like the price to be rather set in stone and something else to budge. I was also expecting them to not release some much needed details like pictures on the costumes/pets until the day of.

Really glad they came out and said what they said. At least from my point of view I think they are trying to address the concerns that the community has as well as provide clarification so we can come to our own conclusions. Sure there are some blemishes in how some things are going (i.e. moderation 'concerns'), but the Q&A directly stems from those at the top. Means a lot to me to see this. I hope they continue strong not only up to release, but also one month, three months, a year or two down the road as well.

                • You didn't read the lore, you assuming, or at least you don't understand it.

Well, I did add a bit of embellishment and in jest, but I thought that was not an inaccurate way to interpret what happened. Also including the starting zone information of each sides as well.

Here's some string of thought to elaborate why I said what I did.

This person and his followers left El Gradis. Later to become part of the Aqua Elf.

Main player who left Sylvans and joined Aqua Elf. The Aqua Elf existence via the starting zone is quite a different way to 'come into existence'. They also touch on this person and what happened to cause the rift in the Sylvan starting zone too. That also is why I feel that they use "unsavory" means.

Hence my comment about them picking a name for themselves.

That's how I came to the conclusions that I did. If I'm way off then please elaborate so I can correct my understanding. I'd like to jest with people and do it correctly at least.

                    • Guess you didn't read the lore behind the two elves. This coming from the Hieron side HAHAHA

Excuse me slave, I had a laugh about your statement

Hey, hold on a second. Didn't the Aqua Elves like try to kill the tree and sacrifice it so they could be selfish lame turtles? Those are the fake elves because they draw their power from unsavory sources, if I recall correctly. They ran away from home. Shame on them. And because they had no identity they chose the name Aqua Elf. Word. Sylvan Elv totally the 'real' Evles here MISTER "true" descendants of <the human race thingie>.

Hey, Hieron doesn't have to be correct. We just need to smash you and dominate the world.

                        • I'm not quite sure if it's the decision of the publisher (in this case, Neowiz via the Steam platform that is) or if it's Steam's decision.

What I can extrapolate on is that from other Steam sites that are utilities they show different results when it comes to a static number versus currency adjusted values.

Here's the tool I was looking at btw, https://www.steamprices.com/

                          Here's a couple examples I saw.

Looking at this and a several others I think a safe conclusion is that USD and the G.B. Pound are going to be close within +/- 10% of USD prices. (i.e. Black Desert Online was +8.46%)

However, the Euro will contain the same integer and since a Euro has a higher value than USD the price is inflated. (Right now it's 1 Euro to 1.20 USD)

I stumbled around and found that this site also has a CAD (Canadian Dollar) version. https://www.steamprices.com/ca

It's going to look higher, but because CAD is lower than USD it kind of makes sense.

Oh shnaps, you can add multiple regions to compare. Huh, will you look at that.

So Canada and Great Britain are getting a relatively close valuation while other regions like Euro currency or Germany will cost more.

I think a country or region's laws will also have to be taken into consideration. Perhaps that's why you see the same printed number for USD to Euros and DE.

                            • This is kind of weird. I decided to tinker with my signature some more. Not sure what's the cause of the 503 under certain circumstances, but I was able to modify the signature successfully with a workaround.... that is not consistent.

After a lot more tinkering, I tried out a lot of other permutations and am kind of getting mixed results. To spare you from reading a lot of it I think it boils down to how the links within the signatures are being handled.

For some reason any attempt at trying to replicate and isolate what I believe is a link issue has resulted in inconsistency.

The only thing that seems consistent in replicating a 503 is all or any partial deletions made to line 2 with the presence of line 1,

This was a similar experience when I was trying to remove lines 3-5 in my old signature.

Also, the original workaround was replacing the entire signature with either nothing or a smiley, saving (successfully), and then simply pasting the item back in with the omissions. However, it's not working all the time. I was able to paste what was in the code section in a few times, but now I can't. Even though I'm replicating my previous workaround that had removed the content beneath line 2 previously.

Here's a clipping of the applied changes I was able to make and now I can't get to this result again,

Might be a long shot, but is there an escape character issue present? Or perhaps some bug involving the link feature within the signature module/component?

Kind of a hard topic to tackle since this doesn't seem to affect everyone and even though it may affect some it's not consistent.

Just trying to help shed some light from what I'm seeing on my end. Hope it helps. Let me know if you'd like me to try anything out. Also, feel free to abuse my signature if you'd like to use it for testing (not sure if it's account related, but I can't rule that out from my end).

                                • I think the topic of pay to _____ (win/convenience/progress/etc) has divulged into something like this,

                                  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rube_Goldberg_machine

This is like 30 shades of grey (humans can only distinguish between about 30 shades btw) in what is generally perceived as a black and white topic.

I'm beginning to become unable to articulate my thoughts other than resorting to laughing at memes. Seriously, some dank memes today. Had some great laughs.

I'm going to need some details on what they listed out in the different packs to make a final decision. I hope they will provide those details. People will just make up their minds on what it is or isn't to them I suppose.

Even in one of the streams I was watching the staff kind of dismissed the p2w question as convenience and that it's not p2w. They certainly have their opinions on the matter as well.

Meh, have a good night internet people. You do you. You be you.

                                    • Hello again,

I know you're all rather busy right now so no rush. Just a suggestion to build on the communication regarding this most recent event that you had. I know that there's a lot of details that got disseminated to all the various emissaries and they will certainly take that and distill it to their respective communities.

There's certainly going to be some things that they don't have media for or knowledge and that's what I'm also interested in knowing (as well as the vast majority of others as well). It would be a good idea to post a concise article on your official site's news section that contains the following (consider it a checklist),

                                      • Basically re-post the details from news article 67 that you had to pull down earlier.
                                        • Additionally, what precise time is the release?
                                      • Add pictures and/or some small description for each item in each of the packs.
                                        • Twinkling wing effect, maybe a small animation?
                                        • Exclusive skins. Different depending on package?
                                        • Lumena context? Like a USD valuation of what it's worth for reference.
                                      • Details/specifics about the Premium Customer Service.
                                        • What does this entail? Enough info so people can decide if it's worth it or not should this item matters to them.
                                      • Details/specifics about the Premium Membership
                                        • What precisely is this going to provide for those who 'subscribe'?
                                        • Cost and duration.

I think that covers all the important details. Certainly a lot of things I'm interested in knowing and being able to confirm that with an official source would be fantastic. We got till the 28th to make a decision so there's time to get these details sorted out and distributed.

I managed to catch someone's stream and saw Penta the Panther in the flesh (along with his name tag so that's how I knew). Handsome devil.

                                      Cheers,

                                      Kuzah

                                        • I was trying to update my signature and noticed that the submit button kept downloading a file. I opened it up in an editor and noticed it's a 503. There was nothing else noticeable on the website like an error message. Just that the signature continued to remain the same and that the download occurred.

Here's the content of the file btw.

                                            • That's a nice breakdown. A pretty good guesstimate. I was trying to gather some facts to see how it would be valuated here in the west (USD) myself. But without real western currency transfer rates it's hard to draw solid conclusions based on the other region's valuation of money per Lumena.

Ultimately, for me, it comes down to if I see it as a worthwhile package to buy into a promise with these seemingly discounted and limited time benefits up front and enjoy said benefits. Everyone has their own reasoning though.

                                                • game isn't even out yet and the toxic trolls have showed up, lol

When I read his reply I didn't really think it was a toxic trolling response.

Time and time again each MMO that came out just seems to tease us with this great dream and then fail to deliver or just flat out deceived the players. As more examples add to this history it's kind of becoming apparent that it's mainly a cultural issue and their disconnect with the west.

Also, on the Steam Community Hub side they are (in my opinion) quite aggressive on post deletions and moderation. So I understand why he has that sentiment.

Even though the game isn't out yet it does have a very tenured history in other regions and even in the west as well in 2015 (practically un-releasing their game).

I'm not saying that kind of behavior is acceptable or justifiable. I can totally understand why he said what he said.

                                                    • Dest He's not really going overboard imo. That's kind of the sentiment most of us have from BDO and he's stating it in a neutral tone. Yeah, that's pretty timid indeed.

Now, regarding the Premium Membership topic.

I also come from BDO and when they first introduced the Value Pack (VP) it was practically a Premium Membership that provided a 30 day buff package across the board. I can go into more details about the main issues with the VP or just the concept itself, but that's not the point here.

I'd like to point out that some of the community looking to get into Bless have come from places that implemented a 'Premium Membership' of some kind and have a negative experience regarding it. The main problem with this aspect is that it's inside the B2P model. People come to a B2P with expectations and the gaming industry has successfully changed what B2P is and it somehow feels like this is the new norm, which is horrible. How can the industry just keep skewing what things are and continue to confuse the consumers with terms that mean something different to that company. Just go P2P from the get go. <insert frustration here> It almost doesn't matter what the 'Premium Membership' will yield at this point because we know it'll be implemented and certainly have 'some' impact on game time.

The problem with 'optional' is self explanatory imo. Please don't use it as an excuse to belittle the fact that it's part of the system. Because it exists. That is all.

Yes, we will find out more specifics and confirmation on all this later today. However, because of this leak it's literally got the community livid at this point. Some may already have made the decision to jump ship just because of this. For those keeping score there's also the questionable emissary selections that is being scrutinized. Others are waiting for official confirmation while some are reaching the strikeout point. Sadly, we can't reason with everyone. Gaming is one of the more fickle categories where people choose to come or go for the smallest reasons sometimes.

Also, even BDO had in-game currency (Loyalties) that you could use to purchase a VP, but Loyalties took a lot of time to accrue (daily cap) and the VP version was a single day for a staggering price. Yes, it might not be the same implementation, but people still have that sour taste from the previous experience. If Bless uses any in-game currency (i.e. Lumenia Exchange Shop) that has multiple applications (like gold or honor points) then that's also a problem. Introducing a new currency that is time capped is basically falling into the same BDO trap. Introducing a new currency that isn't time capped will require in-game time investment where you could have been doing other things. I think the point is clear.

Just some perspective from my point of view. I can certainly relate to those coming from BDO and how they feel about this. Hopefully, this helps explain why we feel the way we do (sometimes).

                                                        • At least I get a copy for a friend of mine?

$200 for the Founder's and there's also this Premium Membership. I'm a little concerned with that Premium Membership part. It's already starting to sound like a B2P model with a subscription system. Guess we'll find out what that membership will do later this afternoon/evening.

                                                          *clenches thighs*

                                                            • I checked the page myself and it looks like they took it down. Thankfully, some people on Discord were talking and had a screen clipping.

                                                              o.O
