It will die down soon, hopefully. But yeah.. it was bad enough on Tanara that my friend's guild decided to just start over on one of the newer servers. I'm stubborn, I like my server name... so I'm not going anywhere.
I agree it's frustrating though, but what can you do? New games are, unfortunately, always super popular for the first week or so.

It would be nice if they are account-bound / can be applied to multiple characters. Especially for people like myself who wanted to main a Mystic and now have to wait for that to be re-implemented, it would be nice to have the ability to use these skins on whatever main character you choose. Otherwise I'll be stuck with them on an alt or I'd have to wait to accept them until the Mystic is released - which could be quite a while.
My apologies is this is already a thing and I was unawareI'm in the exact same boat as you. I'm only going to play a mage because I have no other choice at this time. As soon as mystic is released I'm tossing the character like old bathwater. Looks like I'll just not be claiming my founder's items for a few months.

Ung, are the cosmetics bound to one character? Is that a for sure thing? If it is, I hope they're at least in a bundle we can save, as I would rather give the mount/pet to my Mystic a few months down the road than the throwaway Mage I'm making simply because Mystic isn't available. Seriously though, what is with Korean games and their hatred of account bound Founder's Pack perks?

Haha, I think it started out as love. You know, way back when I was new to mmos. Now I think it's some sort of power trip on my end. Something quite enticing about holding people's lives in your hands. Er, that and I'm lazy and it makes solo questing so much easier when you can heal yourself. Heh, but yeah... I know healing in my Wildstar guild was mostly me and the other healers sitting around in a chat channel crying because the DPS seemed to think all the red stuff on the floor was a buff.
I'm gutted that Mystic is set to release after Assassin though, because as much as I like healers, Paladin isn't my type of class AT ALL. It's worse because I played Mystic in in Korea/Russia, so it feels weird to be playing a Mage now, even if it's temporary. -
Heh, thanks. As long as I get enough people to eventually field a raid team, I will be a happy little elf. My first love in any mmo has always been teaming up with guildmates and slicing monsters into tiny little bits. Okay.. so I prefer to heal the people doing the slicing, but since my class isn't out yet, fireballs it is.

I should mention that roleplay is not enforced. It's more accurate to say we're roleplay friendly than a roleplay guild per se. It's something we want to offer, along with all the other services Bless contains, but if you are not a roleplayer you will still be welcomed here. We hope to run a myriad of activities eventually, ranging from PvE, to PvP, and yes, roleplay. It's absolutely up to each member if they partake in any of those though.
Fair warning however... we tend to be sarcastic, and a little crazy. -
It will be USD
https://www.xe.com/currencyconverter/They literally just said otherwise, just the other day. I mean, I think they will likely just leave it as USD and let the other counties convert as needed, but they posted the below statement to their Q&A page, so there's the definite possibility of more tailored prices for other countries.
"How does pricing work in different countries with different currencies?A: Prices for different countries and currencies are set individually, and won't necessarily be equivalent to the USD price."
-
Thank you kindly for posting this.

From Steam Q&A post
Well.. that's both encouraging, and a bit scary. Hopefully that means it's not MORE than the USD conversion would be for me.
Oh, and Nocht? Congratulations on getting emissary status. You've been our voice for so long, I'm glad they finally made it official. -
I feel your pain, trust me. I have to pay more to because I'm Canadian on top of the conversion surcharge.
Ung, yup. In this case, I think it means the pack I want, rather than being about $70, will be about $90. Gaming gets expensive when one is a Canuck.
-
i read somewhere that the price of 200 usd is without taxes, that explains why you pay 255 or so
For me it’s nothing to do with the taxes. It’s all because my dollar is worth about 78c to each $1 USD.
-
Eh, I'm just estimating that I'll end up having to pay around $90 or so. That's about what it's at with current conversion rates from USD. It it ends up less than that, great. If it ends up more than that, ahh well.. I'll pay it anyway.
-
It will prolly be region adjusted as well. Most things are. Trust me, it sucks. I live in Canada so I'm stuck paying more because of it. My brother, who wants the 200 dollar version, is set to pay about 255 or so.
Edit: I could be wrong. I hope I'm wrong. I doubt it though. -
I've come to terms with the prices. I do not love the upper two options, and wish they were cheaper, but I'm fine with getting the $90 (Canadian exchange rate sucks) dollar one, and going with that. As I have said, I'm more upset that we have no real info. Knowing what cosmetics would be included before they actually go on sale would be nice. Right now we have the barest of information. Things like server lists, and the ability to pre-load the game would also be nice.
I'm seeing nightmares of everyone trying to buy the pack, download the game, and choose a server, all in the span of a very few hours. -
So I have to say I'm actually more irked about the fact that they're not releasing any further information on the packs until the day they're being released than I am the prices themselves. I mean... we already have to download the game, find a server for our guilds to go to, and buy the pack in the same day. It would have been nice to see what cosmetics they were going to give us before hand so we could make an informed choice as to which pack we want BEFORE the day they go on sale.
-
I'll say what I said in the other thread...
"Sooo.. those prices. Yikes. I mean, I know that we in the community basically voted for buy to play, and I'm fine with that, but they know this is a game that was free everywhere else, right? It really doesn't seem like you're getting your money's worth with those packages...
I'm also really not thrilled with the "details about what's in our overpriced packs will be available only on the day they go on sale" part. "
Edit: Actually, I'm also going to add that giving enhanced customer service only to the people who bought your REALLY overpriced Founder's Pack seems kinda awful too. -

Mage for me, but only until Mystic is released, and then I'm dropping it and picking up my true calling.
-
Agreed. I would like a few things at this point. Founder's Pack pricing would be among them, but also I would adore a server list, and hopefully the ability to pre-install the game before launch. All this "we're gonna tell you everything like a day before it prolly actually happens" stuff kinda irks me a little.

Usually houses aren't really for inventory. Most of the time they are purely cosmetic and often used for the purpose of community and world building.
This was always the case for me. I mean, in the games I played houses HAD inventory, I suppose, but I never used it. I basically just enjoyed decorating my own little space. I loved making libraries, and gardens, and all that stuff. It was especially great when the housing system is an intricate at Wildstar, EQ2, Rift, or even ESO now.
But yeah, that's why I prefer both personal housing, AND guild housing. It's great to decorate a guild hall and everything, but I like having my own tiny little space to do with as I will too.
