      Title is pretty much self explanatory :) 

      I am following Bless since RU Beta and I wanted to start playing after the exams but now I see the news (just few weeks from official start) about servers merge...

      Usually servers merge happens when people are leaving and to keep high server population there is a merge.


      Usually in viable MMORPG's it does not happen within 1-2 years and not to mention that most of them have to open new servers within 1 year from release.


      So, is this game alive ? Or on the downfall to die again as it did after beta ?

        • ▣ Quest window (the one on the right side of the screen) when you teleport, leave the dungeon or do any action that re-loads the screen all Quests are shown even if you decided to disable some of them.


          It is especially annoying with monsters quests because the window can immediately get 30+ monster quests.
          I disabled this quest type which makes monster quests very annoying or just ignored at all.

            • Is it just me or this Rebuild client works even worse than RU OBT before Glowing Mods ?


              I just ran it on my wife's computer and the optimization is TERRIBLE :( It's like de-optimisation... I also tried FPS fix from this forum but it doesn't seem to work for Rebuild project unfortunately.


              Edit: Ok, my bad... Freakin' laptop was running on integrated HD Ggraphic. When I changed it to GF 1060 it works fine now... however still without Glowing Mods it maxes at 45fps where with Glowing Mods it runs at 190fps so ...wtf.

                • This is something that actually bought me back into Bless Online (see that game goes into right direction).


                  Glowing armours is an overkill though, looks awful :D
                  I always bring Lineage 2 as an example of well made MMO as I played it 10+ years.


                  It is well enough if the weapon glows in a nice way (Neonwiz made it quite cheap so far).



                  New skill system ? Amazing, and has a potential to bring the variety into game.

                    • 10 turbans is nothing. I said this previously, it is possible to farm turbans (when you make a map for yourself) and hit 10 turbans daily. Also if you use the buff for Book Points you will double the Turbans outcome. At some point you will have so many mats that you will start to sell them with NPC (the ones that are not work of selling in AH).

                          At first I would like to clarify that this is not an troll post or anything like that.
                          I would like also to say that I played 10 years in Lineage 2 and I am old, hardcore MMORPG player :)
                          I enjoyed Bless very much for few months but I decided to write a post to share why it started to be boring after short time and made me to stop playing.


                          I hope people who are working on Bless are actually reading these articles and it will help to make Bless better in the future.



                          First, things I loved (in a gameplay) :)
                          1) I really liked the quest line. Levelling till lvl 50 for the first time was exciting, engaging and gave me 3 weeks of amazing gameplay.
                          2) Few challenging locations (like the chambers in a location with robots)
                          3) Pet and mount system (this is really top tier in Bless, I loved it)
                          4) Variety of getting Legendary gear... You could do PvP + crafting, Turbans farm for Realm Points, Dungeons or all at once to get the gear, good job here, really.
                          5) Elite mobs. Challenging to solo (apart of Hippos) with good mats/exp reward. I farmed Hippos to lvl up and I got a lot of mats, gold and lvl'ed up quickly on elites.
                          6) Dungeons. Apart of this little p2w feature (extra loot/points for lumens with shit loot without lumens) dungeons were fun :)



                          Second, things I didn't liked and got me bored of the game after few months...
                          1) Sieges... There are really better ways of doing sieges. The sieges in Bless could be simplified to "Jump in, mass, mass, mass, die, repeat" and this is why Berserkers were so good in sieges. Nothing too exciting, no good reward of doing sieges... I stopped to go to sieges after the, hmm, maybe 10 of them. I seen the big picture of strategy with middle totem and trees but still, not too exciting... Also, when the server became a bit more popular the system didn't guarantee you the participation in Siege as it was only 100 vs 100 and I often waited in the queue to even get there (sometimes I couldn't get in at all).


                          2) World Bosses... the WB's were not competitive at all. The entire WB tactic was: "Go to one boss, hit him for 20minutes and then go to other boss to get 2 rewards" and this was it... super boring... no one ever tried ti kill the boss and I am not sure if anyone knows what is the WB reward :D everyone just spent 40 minutes of their lives with boring "hit, die repeat" to get few runes... I stopped to go to WB's after first 2 days as I prefer the good fun over the gear lol.


                          3) Guild Wars... oh, this was so stupid I remember. Every single Guild War was like this: "Start the war, meet up in the Capitol (of your fraction) and fight in a city for few hours" that's it... No ganks in the open world, just abusing the city... Guild War was like a massive duel in the main square.


                          4) High level players ganking on low level locations. It was extremely annoying to see 50lvl players on the open PvP locations for 30lvl people. Absolutely no chance to defend yourself or do any quest. Forced me to turn off Bless for few hours few days a week after this kind of kids on low level locations (till they got bored), but they never got bored and the always came back and there was no penalty for attacking people with low lvl.


                          5) Gathering. I know, but please read this carefully. Gathering was fun and exciting at the beginning. But then someone told me about Farming Turbans. It is literally possible to run around one location, map the turbans location and the n run around and farm them. This makes open world gathering useless.


                          6) Minions Quests... Not too rewarding as you could get tons of points from Farming Turbans. Also not too restrictive because you could just refresh unlimited number of times to get not restricted missions and that's it. I literally did it just few times and never bothered to catch minions after that.


                          7) End Game... To get the legendary EQ my gameplay looked like that: 1 Siege a day, 2 x 2 WB's a day and 1.5h of running around one location to do 10 Turbans per day with Turbans Buffs (cooke and one other) to get daily limit of Realm Points. So long story short I spent about 4.5h daily on super boring activities (siege, wb, turbans) to get the gear and when I finally did it... Game Over, there was no reason to play, only thing that has left was 50lvl dungeons for runes.



                          What do we need:
                          1) We need more competitive Sieges. Most people play PvP in MMORPG's for glory. Lineage 2 was so successful because every siege was fight for glory and prestige to get the castle and keep it so people attended the sieges to defend the clan's honour even after 10years of playing the game...


                          2) Bigger shuffle in Turbans spawn (they should be a bonus, not farm)


                          3) Castro Siege (which is nothing more than daily PvP Event) much more strategical not just a clash of 2 MOB's with mass skills :D


                          4) World bosses less powerful but with reward only when you kill them...


                          5) Open world (in PvP zones) Epic Bosses with good drop to fight for.


                          6) More rewarding arenas. The Arena happened very rarely because people didn't see the point of fighting there. But if there will be a nice reward (like exclusive look for daily and weekly best players from arena) with some leaderboard people would kill for it... Arena would be the most crowded place in the game (check ho popular were Lineage 2 Olympic Fights for Hero Status :D)


                          7) Skill system. I seen the Japanese introduction to skill system and I like it a bit :) I thought it was not rewarding to just buy a book and then the skill system ended... There was no system to power up the skill once you get it (some skills indeed were empowered a bit wit the second book but that's it). I thinks it would bring a massive variety of how you play your class if it would be possible to empower some skills, and people would actually play to empower these skills.



                          Now. I know Bless is in development stage and I am comparing it against the games with long history on the market. I also do know that these games were not perfect when they started (example, Lineage 2 CH1 with no sieges (not sure about this one), no skill enchants, no olympic arenas, no clan wars etc.).


                          This is why I can only hope that Bless will get better and more exciting over time (not just new Dungeons 2 times a year with a major update). Combat system and engine optimisation are first on the long list of things to do in order to make Bless successful on the West :)

                            • Absolutely true. Crafting was dead when I played RU OBT.


                              The main source of getting gear was quests (at the beginning) dungeons and Realm Points (it is really possible to farm Turbans). So I maxed my crafting just to get rid of mats from Turbans farm and make some small additional money.


                              Crafting is useful only for the people who love PvP over anything and they did only PvP so then they had enought points (and not enough Realm Points) to craft Legendary Gear.

                                  Indefinite time sounds more scary than "Aeria is still publishing Bless. Launch somewhere in 2017" and as we know it did not happened.


                                  Personally I dropped Bless 2 weeks ago (RU OBT) because endgame started to be boring.
                                  Castro Siege is not competitive at all and limits to "mass skill, mass skill, dead, run, mass skill" and World RB was just an grind with "equal reward" so after 2/3 of them I stopped to go there because it was very boring 40 minutes.


                                  Guild Wars were limited to fight in Spezia Square (in my fraction) and Arena rarely happened.



                                  No Guild Castle Sieges, No competitive open world PvP, No Epic Raid Bosses with mass pvp.



                                  For me the end game was never ending Turbans Farm for Loyalty points to get the gear :D :D

                                    • I have to agree with you guys :)


                                      From the other hand a lot of people consider RU as p2w already because you can buy points and items that you can sell for gold in game which gives you huge advantage but you can also get them through the normal game play but it takes much more time.


                                      From my perspective it is not p2w :) It is however quite extreme p2p :D


                                      One of good examples are dungeons. You can get the low drop normally and leave it to fate if you get it or not or... spend 15lumens (or more) and get 3-4 good EQ parts only for yourself from every boss + additional dungeon points :)
                                      They kind of force you to get premium account to get enough lumens to do it but it is also cheap (bronze premium costs 300rubles = $4 = £3 = 15PLN on average),
                                      I am curious how much will be premium in EU cuz you literally need to to keep up with game pace. If it's gonna be too expensive I will stick with RU version :D :D



                                      So depends on p2w definition game may be p2w or not at all :D

                                        • Next time try to dig into your C drive and download using torrent client :) 101xp launcher is very often slow and faulty :)

                                            • Crafting system is simplifies which does not mean it is easy to craft :)
                                              It would me much easier to exp craft profession (like Dwarfs in other games) to 50lvl than get 14lvl of Crafting on your character :)
                                              Also this game has unique system that encourages you for party activity because you can craft top tier EQ only for points that you cannot get in other way than gathering, sieges, pvp, dungeons, taming etc.



                                              About Aeria and it's bad reputation. Aeria does not exist anymore as it's own (management wise) they merged with Gamigo and in fact (according to Yahoo Finance) Bless Online is not Aeria Games project but Gamigo project :)

                                                  High lvl gear is so difficult to get ? I mean, only crafting ? What is the easiest way to get decent gear ? There is no good drops from dungeons / high lvl mobs ?

                                                  It is very easy though :)
                                                  This game is focused on giving you the variety of solutions so:


                                                  1) You can go to sieges and contribute to PvP and get Honour Points + Weekly medals and you can craft the gear using NPC Crafter
                                                  2) You can go to 2 Brothers Dungeon (bonus gathering instance) and gather infinite number of times to get materials that you can use/sell and get mats/money to craft/buy eq
                                                  3) You can use point 2 and a good Guild to get 50lvl Legendary EQ for "Influence Points" aka. "Castro Points" (depends on translation) and ask your CL to give you the EQ for influence points
                                                  4) You can focus on Gathering + PvP so that you have mats and honour points and you can craft the gear by yourself
                                                  5) You can go to dungeons and Raids to get the EQ from drop
                                                  6) You can do everything at once (if you have time) and get your gear quicker than ever :)



                                                  And even then game does not finish because you still need runes (ideally lvl 6+) that takes shit load of money and time to get.


                                                  I got lvl 50 and I do all the thing above and to be honest it took me 2 weeks to get most expensive end-game part (weapon). But I do not play more than 2h daily on average.

                                                    • We all need to remember that there are real people working on this game.
                                                      The people that are highly skilled software engineers who did the effort to learn programming and they are earning money accurate to their qualifications.


                                                      Game like Bless Online or any other MMO is nothing more than a business that need to bring more profit than loses so if we (community) will teach companies like Aeria or 101xp that we will be paying money to get costumes and xp boosters they will stick to it.


                                                      But most of people are greedy and want to play for free so then these comapnies must take the steps it increase income (PvP Gear for real money) and game becomes p2w.



                                                      So it does not matter what you do, you still are going to pay for the game. It is easier with games that do not require continous development (not multiplayer) because then they take all costs to produce game and expected profit and based on that they set the game price so then you buy game, end game and throw it to the bin or re-sell.


                                                      Right here we need to pay for those developers salary every month so we need to pay every month for it. Ideal solution is "subscription" but business reality shown that p2w just brings more profit and more people.

                                                        • Personally I heard the rumor about September 2017 ...but it is absolutely not confirmed.


                                                          The game is still far from ready though (even in RU version).


                                                          They still need to fix the targeting and make pvp more competetive and engaging...
                                                          The current 4 times a day Castro Siege reminds me more of PvP Daily events in Lineage 2 (GvG) more than a proper sieges and one Capitol Siege is simply not enough to bring in top guild to this game.



                                                          So far all I see it still FPS issue... but they improved the Lumens Shop a lot :D :D :D :D

                                                              the question is as on the subject...


                                                              At first I thought that it depends on damage and number of assists/kills during the siege but unfortunately it does not.
                                                              In lots of cases people with 20+ kills can still be below the people who have just a few kills so it is not the case.
                                                              Also I usually end up with 2nd class / damage and kills and it also doesn't put me too high on the ranking.


                                                              However... I saw a guy (Assasin) with just 10 kills during the siege and 8k+ points so there is definitelly something I do not uderstand yet :D
