    • I'm sure you've at least heard of Sword Art Online! :) (ALO and GGO are story arcs, Alfheim Online and Gun Gale Online)

      The rest is because I don't really watch mainstream shounens so I'm not into really popular stuff like Fairy Tail, Bleach, Dragon Ball etc.

      Clannad is a shoujo and is like the king of romance anime, if you want the ultimate romance watch Clannad and prepare 2-3 boxes of tissues.
      Higurashi no Naku Koro ni is horror/thriller/mystery.
      Katanagatari is a shounen but it's weird and awesome. It's like a traditional Japanese ninja/samurai film from the 1920s, except in anime version with bright colors.
      Toradora! is a shoujo.
      Kara no Kyoukai is a seinen/thriller (by the same guys who made the Fate series).
      Candy Boy is a yuri, I've always wondered why it had this name because there's literally not a single boy in the entire anime. (and now I want to watch it again because it's awesome)
      Sword Art Online is... typical shounen with boring overpowered unbeatable protagonist. I probably watch it only for the gorgeous visuals and Yuki Kajiura music.
      Blood+ is a seinen.
      Ookami to Koushinryou is better known as Spice and Wolf. It's a... seinen/fantasy/romance I guess?
      10. Dantalian no Shoka is mystery/supernatural.

      If you go through my list you'll see I watch a lot of romance/shoujo/yuri and josei/seinen so it's not something most people watch as well. I'd recommend something for you to watch but judging by the anime you liked there isn't really anything you'll like from mine. Blood+ and SAO maybe.

    • A "short" and really great one would be Steins;Gate. 24 episodes à ~23m.
      No Game No Life was great too last season. Only 12 episodes.

    • I am a complete Anime noob honestly, so a lot ofg the ones you guys talk about I know nothing about, but reading these lists is giving me lots of stuff to eventually try out.

      Some of the ones I have watched and really enjoy are:

      Trinity Blood
      Dominion Tank Police
      07 Ghosts
      and several others I am not thinking of at the moment.

      I have a stack of DVDs and box sets I have picked I have yet to get through though.

      Goth Lolis are perfect and red/black is probably the best color mix

      4. Highschool of The Dead
      It was my first anime
      Drinking Game: Every time -Boobs jiggle- or -see Panties- drink
      Me and my otaku did this many times, still don't how the anime ends

      5. Highschool DxD
      I swear i never fapped to Rias Gremory (or other). Just a great story

      6. Log Horizon
      Assassin Lolis are pretty good too :]

      The intro of this anime is on my Car-CD (lol)

      I would've chosen the psycho girl kill every time

      9. Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood
      good for anime starters =) very nice story
