Current state in KR

Hello folks,

I just got to know this game is going to be released in EU/NA "soon". Nevertheless like all of us I don't want to wait that long.

I already found out what to do and what to buy to play on KR servers. But what I can't find is if beta servers are running? When will they shut them down? Is there a release date in KR? Taking this into account is it still worth buying an account?

Yes, they run 24/7 unless there is maintenance.

Only during maintenance.

It's currently in "Open Beta", which is MMO speak for "full release". If there is any gap between "Open Beta" and what they call the full release, it'll likely be less than a day, and be nothing more than a regular maintenance.

Depends on your MMO preference. If you prefer vast-huge open world exploration ala Everquest 2 over Blade & Soul's very linear focused zones, then it's worth the $10 from OBTGame or any other reputable website.

Actually playing right now.

There was a prologue shown in the videos I watched before where you can try out your class in a high tier armor set. Afterwards you get to the starting zone. Did they change this?

I heard someone say that as well in the shoutbox, but I don't know myself. I started the game after they already removed it, apparently. I started it in early February as I recall, a little after my join date here.

OK so the beta IS still on, good to know. Also I don't see any guides on the subject of installation/setup, I might just not looked in the right place. I'm sure I can figure it out as I've done this kinda thing before, but guides always make me feel better

I've been thinking of making a more in-depth and up to date guide for that, but to be honest I've either forgotten or was too busy looking for a new real-world job.

Here's the only one so far, it's mostly accurate still (the only really wrong spot is the fact that you now need to be connected to a Korean VPN to login, and the English Patch part):
